Dia dos Avôs

Dia 26 de Julho é dia dos Avôs e Avós. E esse dia foi escolhido para a comemoração porque é o dia de Santa Ana e São Joaquim, pais de Maria e avós de Jesus Cristo.
Conta a história que Ana e seu marido, Joaquim, viviam em Nazaré e não tinham filhos, mas sempre rezavam pedindo que o Senhor lhes enviasse uma criança. Apesar da idade avançada do casal, um anjo do Senhor apareceu e comunicou que Ana estava grávida, e eles tiveram a graça de ter uma menina abençoada a quem batizaram de Maria. Santa Ana morreu quando a menina tinha apenas 3 anos. Devido à sua história, Santa Ana é considerada a padroeira das mulheres grávidas e dos que desejam ter filhos. Maria cresceu conhecendo e amando a Deus e foi por ele a escolhida para ser Mãe de Seu Filho Jesus. São Joaquim e Santa Ana são os padroeiros dos avôs e avós.
